It's the end, my friends

So we are nearing the end. The lectures are over and now we have to 'analyze' our data and prepare the presentation for tomorrow morning. I have to say thou, this workshop wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be. I mean, I had a lot of fun hanging out (once I got over the humor thing! :P) I thought we would be spending 2 days in a lab collect data ourselves and then analyzing it, like "real" scientists! But we got handed a disc which already had the data. We were in the lab for barely half an hour, and it was more of a tour than an oppurtunity to learn how applied mathematicians work! So, yes, I was disappointed.
Now I know why I didnt go on with computer science after o'levels: I don't have the patience to debug codes! For the past two days I have been trying to get a stupid program to run!! And I'm working with a math software, not even a real comp lang. My hats off to the all the computer ppl!
I'm off tomorrow afternoon. Will spend abt 36 hrs in Mass then head over to Iowa on Sun. Looking forward to it, hopefully it'll be much better than this workshop!
